lettuce come together brown people.

kindly be seeing.

with regard to sepia mutiny [and the other desi group blogs that seem to follow a similar pattern] i think it's hysterical how obsessed they've become with discovering potential candidates to accuse of racism and stereotyping. i mean anything any white person says about brown people is scrutinized until through some weird logic it is proven to be offensive.

what amazes me tremendously is their ability to spot all these random desi people in the background at some political rally or on some 2 minute spot on tv. you'd think they have some type of special application on their tivo to pause every time it sees brown. i mean i watch a lot of tv but holy crap did you know there was recently a brown person "representing" us on a cooking reality show for all of 20 minutes after which they were tragically eliminated thus dashing a billion hopes whilst managing to leave a crack in the glass ceiling for future desi chefs who want to be on reality tv. i'm surprised they didn't start some type of online petition protesting the cut.

also at the bottom of their page it says and i'm not making this up - "to prevent comment spam, please type the word brown below". and it doesnt work if you type wheatish complexioned.

If the post you're referring to is about Dan Cox of Media Bistro, apparently Sepia wasn't the only ones who found it offensive. He was fired soon after.

I think almost everything on your blog is not worth writing about, but I don't say so. I just don't read it. Maybe you should do the same with Sepia.

What a fantastic cop-out this??? don't like it- don't eat it, don't watch it, don't see it, don't buy it, don't wear it..lets leave taking responsibility for mediocrity at the door...and thrive on living with lowest of low standards in everything.

Then when is pri going to take responsibility for the mediocrity of this blog? Scratch that, this blog sucks. Should I write several blog posts on my own blog about how much this site sucks? Or how about I leave comments on every new poorly written, inane post pointing out how banal it is.

Or I could just shut up and move on, realizing that other people seem to get something out of it...

See my point?

When Les Claypool was constantly told that Primus was the greatest band ever, he once said 'no, we suck'. After that Primus fans started the "Primus sucks" chant, which also got tiresome after a while.

Moral of the story: There are no Indians in Primus. A poor representation of Indian funk abilities.

lol. We should hang and quarter you. You're so worried about white people's feelings that you're forgetting our brown ones.

Speaking of which, did i ever tell you about my theory about how everything comes in two shades: brown and white? you know, bread, eggs, chocolate... and brown is always the nicer/healthier one. No?

:D

Now I'm wondering, when they sang brown girl in the ring, what was that supposed to mean. hmmmmm....
